How to Improve Education Researchers’ Curriculum Leadership? The Delegation of Guangdong Education Research Institute Came to Visit ICI

On August 27, Zhu Meijian, Shi Meibin and Yang Jian, who are members of Guangdong education research institute came to visit ICI. Prof. Cui Yunhuo, director of ICI, and Fu Li-li, the office director extended a warm welcome to the delegation and then hosted a seminar. The topic of seminar was about how to carry out advanced training for education researchers of Guangdong education research institute, and how to improve education researchers’ curriculum leadership comprehensively.

At the very beginning, Zhu Meijian introduced the background of starting education researchers’ training in Guangdong province, and expressed the willing that they would like to dispatch education researchers to start advanced training in ICI. He also said that a work group for education researchers’ training has been established, before they came to Shanghai, they had already got some information about the training programs in ECNU, and thoroughly investigated training demands of Guangdong teaching and research section at all levels. The work group initially formulated a training plan in the next three years. They hope they could start their training in ICI, in that it will help their researchers to broaden their horizons and to carry out their work more professional.

Prof. Cui Yunhuo extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and gave a brief introduction of research training center in ECNU and the advanced training programs. The center was established in March 2009, which is the earliest and is currently the only organization that dedicated to education researchers’ training. What’s more, the center is held by ICI, and up to now, 123 advanced training programs have been held. Then, director Fu Li-li introduced the implementation of advanced training programs in many aspects, such as rules and regulations of schools, curriculum resources and funding management.

Finally, the two sides discussed the details of the expected schedule, training scale, curriculum contents and training forms of the training program.
