What Is Adream Curriculum?

If you intend to take project-based learning, encourage children to attend Go Far Away; if you intend to let your children understand different occupations and promote students’ inner interest, take Professional Life; if you intend to cultivate children’s financial quotient, take Financial Management, Mind Mapping, Hometown and Community, International Understanding and so on. The curriculum contributes to the cultivation of students’ “dreaming literacy”, and has been set up in 3374 schools in almost 300 districts of 31 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions. 242 of the total districts are poverty-stricken counties in the country, more than 1 million rural children benefit from it.

This is Adream Curriculum. It is jointly developed by Professor Cui Yunhuo from the Institute of Curriculum and instruction of East China Normal University and the Shanghai True Love Dream Public Welfare Foundation. The purpose is to promote educational equity, develop literacy education, deepen curriculum reform, and serve as a useful supplement to the national curriculum, to provide curriculum resources for the implementation of school-based curriculum and comprehensive practical curriculum in schools of rural area.

What Kind of Curriculum Does Adream Provide?

Since 2009, Adream Curriculum has been developed iteratively based on the structure of love, truth and dream pursuit. At present, there are 37 courses applicable to different grades of compulsory education, covering topics closely related to students’ life, such as positive psychology, art, research, scientific innovation, environmental protection, financial management, career planning and so on.

Adream Curriculum provide students with a variety of opportunities for participation and performance. Through rich curriculum content and interesting learning experience, it expand students’ horizons, stimulate students’ curiosity and desire for knowledge, and enhance the ability of communication and expression, teamwork, emotional management and so on.
