The 4th Shanghai Curriculum Round Table Forum was Successfully Held

From March 29 to 31, ICI of East China Normal University held the 4th Shanghai Curriculum Round Table Forum. The theme of this forum is "the new development of Sociology of curriculum". Zeng Rongguang, a professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong, attended the forum as a keynote speaker. Prof. Cheng Tianjun from Nanjing Normal University, associate professor Ding Daoyong from Beijing Normal University, associate professor Luo Yun from Renmin University of China, associate professor Xu Lan from Xiamen University, Prof.Cui Yunhuo, Prof. Liu Lianghua, Prof. Chen Shuangye, Prof. Zhou Yong and Dr. Wang Tao from East China Normal University participated in the discussion. The forum presided over by Prof. Ke Zheng,the deputy director of ICI.


The forum combined both the theme report and the open discussion. Prof. Zeng Rongguang made the first three reports. In the report, invited speakers and other listeners can discuss their own interests at any time.



In order to enhance the intensity of thinking collision, and to combine the research progress of curriculum sociology with the reform of high school curriculum in China, the forum held a seminar on "Core Competence in the Perspective of Curriculum Sociology" at Room 1606 of Wenke Building on the afternoon of March 30. The participating experts launched a heated discussion about core competence.


The Shanghai Curriculum Round Table Forum was held in 2013 by ICI of East China Normal University for the first time. The forum adhering to the "small high-end academic seminars" concept and characteristics, with invited, closed-door organization. Up to now, the forum has been successfully held four sessions. Experts and scholars from all over the country are welcome to present high quality issues to jointly organize the Shanghai Curriculum Round Table Forum and improve the academic standards of Chinese curriculum and instruction research.
