The International Classroom Analysis Laboratory of ICI Held the Sixth Working Conference

On the morning of June 20th, the international classroom analysis laboratory of ICI held the sixth working conference, mainly focused on the topic of the overall construction framework and key research projects of the laboratory in the 2018-2019 school year. Associate Professor Xiao Sihan, the head of the laboratory, and Associate Professor Wang Zhe, the deputy director of the laboratory, introduced the overall thinking and research priorities. Professor Cui Yunhuo, Professor Hu Huimin, Professor Wu Gangping, Professor Chen Shuangye, Associate Professor An Guiqing and Associate Professor Zhou Wenye attended the conference, and more than 20 students participated in the conference.

At the meeting, Associate Professor Xiao Sihan first reported on the mid-term inspection about the construction of the laboratory of the Faculty of Education. The international classroom analysis laboratory has been affirmed in terms of the construction ideas and its achievements. At the same time, the leaders and experts of the Faculty of Education have put forward higher requirements and expectations for the development of the laboratory.

Then, Associate Professor Wang Zhe formulated a preliminary 2018-2019 construction plan based on the resolutions formed at the last laboratory work meeting, focusing on the overall objectives of the laboratory development, the research significance, and the current hot research issues in classroom research. The research projects, specific time schedules, financial support, and precautions were introduced and explained, and combined with the existing research foundation, the topics that are going to be carried out by the laboratory were demonstrated in detail.

According to the assumption, the laboratory will focus on specific topics and form a number of squads. Focusing on the important principles and effects in the design of textbooks, taking motivation, emotions and other factors as the starting point, conducting classroom-based experimental research and meta-analysis of relevant papers, strive to publish at least 2-4 SSCI papers, and participate in AERA academic conferences, and continue to promote exchanges and cooperation with world-renowned universities.

According to the relevant situation introduced by Associate Professor Wang Zhe, the researchers present at the scene fully supported and affirmed the idea of laboratory construction. They believed that the top-level design ideas were clear, the action route was feasible, they further discussed the cooperation members, the specific division of labor, and specific topic of the next meeting.
