The First Quarter

Cui Yunhuo, Yang Xiangdong, Hu Huimin, Wu Gangping, Zhu Weiqiang, Wang Zuhao, Wang Tao and other experts deeply participated in the curriculum revision of compulsory education

Professor Ke Zheng was appointed as the Seventh Shanghai Special Education Supervisor

Professor Hiruda Akita, director of the School Education Research Center of the University of Tokyo and vice president of the World Association for Classroom Research, visited ICI and made a report on “Promote Textbook Development and Teaching Design of Learning Community”

A series of books on “Key Competencies and Curriculum Development” was published

Dr. Wang Tao joined ICI, he made an academic report on “Educational Equity and Curriculum Construction in a Multicultural Society”

International Academic Week: Exchange Activities with the School of Education of Stanford University were carried out

The Second Quarter

Shen Jiliang, an inspector from the Bureau of Teaching Materials of the Ministry of Education, came to ICI and fully affirmed the efforts and contributions ICIers have made in curriculum reform and textbook research

The world’s first “Center for International Research on Supplementary Tutoring” was formally established. The construction and development of the center mainly depends on Professor Mark Bray, the outstanding professor of the Faculty of Education, and his team. Dr. Zhang Wei and Dr. Liu Junyan of ICI are the core members of the team.

ICI held the Seventh Shanghai Round Table Curriculum Forum

A number of scholars and students attended the AERA 2019 annual meeting to share the research results with international scholars

Dr. Huang Xiaorui was successfully promoted to associate researcher and made an academic report on “The Application of Quantitative Methods in Curriculum and Instruction Research”

Dr. Liu Junyan, a key member of Professor Mark Bray’s team, joined ICI and made an report on “ Parents’ Roles, Responsibilities and Educational Choices in the Context of Marketization”

24 teachers and students from the Institute of Teacher Education and the Institute of Curriculum and Instruction of Beijing Normal University were invited to visit ICI

The Third Quarter

On Teacher's Day, Professor Cui Yunhuo was cordially received and solemnly commended by President Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders in the Great Hall of the people

Professor Cui Yunhuo made comments on how to construct “Neo-teaching” under new curriculum standard and the new college entrance examination

The Fourth Quarter

Professor Cui Yunhuo shared the story of curriculum reform in China

Professor Ke Zheng shared the social construction and stratification of curriculum knowledge

Following the visit of the School of Education of Stanford University, ICI organized the first return visit, the teachers and students exchanged their ideas around academic frontiers, educational practice, technological innovation, etc.

Training graduate students with international competitiveness, the admission rate of AERA papers for graduate students of ICI is up to 50%

ICI held the 17th Shanghai International Curriculum Forum, curriculum experts from all over the world gathered at ECNU to talk about “Curriculum Integration from Multiple Perspectives”.
